Our Foundation Pony Broodmare The Sport Pony division of the American Warmblood Registry was formed in 1999. Zinnia has registration #1 and was the original pony that inspired the Sport Pony Division. She was in foal to an approved stallion (Landavi - Holsteiner) and the AWR didn't want to register "a pony". After much discussion they decided to start the Sport Pony Registry!! She is by Nutone (Haflinger) out of Shasta (Welsh) and combines the sturdiness & temperament of the Haflinger with the athletic ability of the Welsh for a perfect cross! She received a First Premium at the 1999 American Sport Pony Inspection with outstanding scores such as an 8.5 for jumping ability.
