60 acres of pasture with grazing and 100% access to shade.
Horses are individually fed quality Purina feed & oats
in their own
outdoor stalls. Rations are customized for your horses needs. We understand that
some horses need more (or less) feed and we adjust the quantity based on body
condition. There are no thin horses at Lazer Ray Stables! All our horses are
shiny and in good condition.

We feed our own horses, ponies and minis Equine Senior (Why Equine
Senior?)
Horses have UNLIMITED access to pasture, quality hay, salt, mineral salt & water at all times.
Horses have access to shade at all times. All pastures are wooded.
Pastures have large shelters for inclement weather. (12' tall!)

Access controlled, air conditioned & heated tack room. Covered, lighted hitching area with welded pipe hitching
rails.
Covered, lighted wash rack with HOT & cold water.
Stocks for palpation and medical treatments. All sides open for easy access.
Horses are grouped in pastures by "buddy groups". No overcrowding,
60 acres of pastures. Horses are out 24 -7 except
for meal times where they are stalled individually to eat. (Why
don't we stall our horses?) Shelters are available in the pastures for bad
weather. All pastures have shade.

Less than 10 minutes from Parrie Haynes Equestrian Park with over 50 miles of marked
trails. Also driving distance to McKinney Roughs and other state parks along the
Colorado River. The boarders from Lazer Ray Stables and surrounding farms trail ride
at

Farrier comes every 3 to 5
weeks. Some of our horses wear shoes, but we keep our horses barefoot when possible.
(Why
Barefoot?)
All horses are dewormed at least every 2 months on same schedule to ensure herd health.
Deworming is included in your board.
Owner/veterinarian lives on grounds. Expert medical
supervision for your horses.

We are located near Florence on Hwy 195 between Killeen and Georgetown. We are
15 minutes from Ft. Hood.
We are a laid back stable where horses live like horses, and
everyone is friendly and helpful. We mostly trail ride, and show occasionally
when the fancy strikes. If you're looking for a tightly wound show stable, that
isn't us. If you'd like a safe natural place for your horses, and fun people to
ride with, you've found your barn!
We have several pastures and we group the horses by who their buddies are (so
everyone gets along.) They have grass or hay, water, mineral salt and salt available
in the pastures at all times. They are fed premium Purina feed daily in their own
outdoor stalls. (These are outdoor stalls made from priefert panels.)
We have several riding areas, a 13 acre grass pasture perfect for galloping, cross country jumps,
stadium jumps, trails, 150' x 200' arena with all weather footing, a 100'
arena and a 60'
round pen.
We are less than 10 minutes from Parrie Haynes Equestrian park which has well
over 50 miles of marked trails (a group of us ride there at least once a week.) And within an
hour of McKinney Roughs a BEAUTIFUL park along the Colorado River. It has picnic
tables with hitching posts and fabulously marked trails!
We offer full board which includes unlimited hay, feed, pasture, salt, minerals, deworming,
holding for the farrier, and giving supplements or medications.
When comparing fees for boarding please take into account what is and is not
included. You may find board cheaper, but they don't include all the services we
do, or access to the same quality of facilities. Current rate for a mare or
gelding is $325/month.
